Our day tour started at 7:30am, so we got up early for it. The Premium Tour operating company did not specify the exact location of boarding, so we have to go to Victoria Couch Station earlier to figure out where exactly we are boarding the bus. They were a lot of people going to different destinations, therefore, it was a total mass to be there to experience that in the early morning. Luckily, we got into the right area and got on our bus without any issue.
The first stop was Windsor Castle. We were there early as the 3rd tour group. After we got there, the line got longer and longer even before their opening time. It took us a whole hour of waiting to finally get into the castle. The castle got a lot of beautiful stuff to see, however, they don’t allow any photo inside the palace. Highlights are the State Apartments and the St George’s Chapel. It is a single line tour for going thru these 2 attractions with audio guide. We stayed in the State Apartment a little bit too long and we had to rush through the St George’s Chapel. Even with no photo allowed, there were still very impressive.
We were able to take some photo outside.
Then, it was an hour and half drive to Stonehenge. After you get to Stonehenge, there is a shuttle bus taking you to the site. When we got there they were so many people, we have to fight for photo spots. People told us that it is just a brunch stones there, and not too much to see. However, it is still a must visit attraction. And we got nice photos.
Then, we walked around for more photo opportunities.
We stopped at Locack for lunch and we had Fish & Chips again. This time it was much better then the one we had in Edinburgh. Interesting fact about Locack is that it is the British’s Birthplace of Photography.
The next stop was Bath. Bath is famous for its Roman history, hot springs, Georgian architecture, and cultural scene. However when to got to Bath old town where all attractions located, it was very late. And the most famous 2 attractions - Cathedral and Roman Bath were ready to close in 7 minutes. Therefore, we did not get a chance to visit either one of them. We just walked around the old town and take photos. We also walked into Topping & Company Booksellers to discover their interesting way for the customer to find books in this store.
When we get back to London, it was about 8:30pm, and there was not much time for us to do anything. In addition, they dropped us off at Piccadilly Square, we had to figure our way back to our hotel in late hours. It was one additional thing we had complained about Premium Tour. They tried to pack too much stuff in one tour and ending up we lost the opportunity of enjoying them due to lack of time.
